I used this website http://www.rinkydinkelectronics.com/t_imageconverter565.php to convert to I think RGB565 from PNG

correct, but in this case the reset functionality has been added programmatically by UIFlow.

M5Stack did the same in the M5StickCPlus factory code. See here.
