M5Stick C Plus 2 ENV III Hat
-
Hello everyone i have integrated the env iii hat into my m5stick c plus 2 and noticed that the measured temperature values of the sht30 as well as qmp6988 are clearly too high. is this due to the waste heat of the esp32? are there any solutions for this. otherwise this hat seems to be unnecessary, because the measured temperature does not match the reality in any way.

i have few ENV2 HATs and when tested with wire extension between M5Stick and HAT results were more accurate than when HAT fitted direct to unit.

Hey @ptrkx,
Yep, ESP32 heat can definitely mess with the readings. Those wire extensions robski mentioned are a great trick! I've seen some folks use a small heatsink on the ESP32 too with good results.

Thanks for the information guys and the idea with the wire extension. I will give this a try. But i have to say the normal hy2.0 sensors like: https://shop.m5stack.com/products/env-iv-unit-with-temperature-humidity-air-pressure-sensor-sht40-bmp280 are then the better choice compared to the HATs or?
