I just tried these examples and all three can be compiled successfully. Maybe it's your library version problem? Have you installed the board manager correctly?

the IP5306 I2C registers are described here (under Related link - Datasheet).

Unfortunately the IP5306 turns the output off after a timeout (max: 64 s) if the load is too low; like when ESP32 is in deep sleep mode.

@teastain Thanks, that was what I was looking for. I got it to compile/load after installing the M5Core2 by M5Stack library. I agree with 'Brilliant and un to watch'.
