I noticed that firmware images I create (via Arduino IDE) for the original M5StickC run fine on the M5StickC-Plus and vice versa. I use the M5Unified API graphics and power management, and it wall works out.

I am curious if I am just lucky or if there are cases where the two devices are not compatible? Except for the different screen, the hardware for the devices are quite similar, but maybe there is some case of incompatibility that I didn't happen to hit.

(I don't know if I can use the M5StickC firmware on the M5StickC-Plus2, but I haven't explored why not. I just assume for now that the hardware differences require some compile-time decisions rather than runtime decisions from M5Unified.)

UPDATE: After some more experiments, the M5StickC firmware seems to run fine on the M5StickC-Plus2, at least for the things my firmware actually does.
