All IDE refuse to work with M5Stack now
-
Hi!;
First of all I wanted to say thanks for 1.6.1 FW which looks like a great progress and overall feel is much better! Great job;
However
None of IDE excepting online UIFlow works with M5Stack core now.
VS Code won't connect.
MU gives multiple error and can't access M5 storage;
THonny connects and browses storage but can't save/run anything
UIFlow offline version is outdated.Are there any plans to upgrade offline UIFlow at least? Online one isn't much convinient. MU/THonny looks just okay too.
I can't build device fw with color blocks lol, want to type some;
Thanks -
I have found the same with USB connected devices they are very difficult to connect with.
-
I'm finding this aswel.
@m5stack any idea what happened? -
I'm not sure but there's probably major changes with 1.6 and later. Thats why UIFlow desktop not upgrading aswell
-
which device are you use?
-
@m5stack M5Stack core gray with 1.6.1 UIFlow firmware
-
@thrasher did you setup the device to USB mode?
we has test it. it working normal with vscode. maybe you could try to erase flash then upload the firmware again.
-
Make sure you have the stickC in USB mode, it's a little tricky, you need to hit the button on the right side really quickly on bootup. If you want to use in MU you need to change a config file, I mention it in this video https://youtu.be/15JrXn_9OWQ?t=80

Yeah thanks @lukasmaximus and @m5stack
Ofcourse its on USB mode, I spent day trying different tricks with MU and THonny but I was using m5stack basic gray module, not stickC/Atom (I have them both so will try hopefully this weekend)
VS Code won't work still, it sends M5Stack into reboot and than can't access its inner memory, but it could be a driver issue, will keep tryingWhat's about offline uiflow ide?

@thrasher update your vscode and plugin and UIFlow desktop IDE to last version. then try again.
