[solved] Getting Microphone to work on M5Stick
-
Im having trouble getting the mic to work on the m5stick (non C). Does anyone have working code that they can post or point to?
-
I guess I need to break this down: Does the stick even have a microphone?
if it does, is it pin 34?
running an i2c scanner show three address: 0x75, 0x68, and 0x0c. I think the 1st two are battery and mpu6050. Who's at 0x0c?

Hi , M5Stick have not Microphone , and have not device the address is 0x0c , it maybe just a mistake from I2C scan.

@m5stack You need to update your product listing, cause it states its has a mic and I bought one based on that.

@spiffmonious OK thanks your review. i will change the Product imformation.
-
@spiffmonious The microphone was an optional addon (If i remember correctly).

@spiffmonious Sorry if the description was not accurate. The microphone on M5Stick was only available by custom request. There are bare pads on the pcb of the M5Stick to solder a mems microphone on to, such as the SPM1423. If your not keen on opening up your M5Stick and just need to check sound intensity I suggest you could use this grove compatible sound sensor https://www.seeedstudio.com/Grove-Sound-Sensor.html

Ive marked this solved since we've answered my question and the erroneous product page has been corrected.

@lukasmaximus If there are pads for the mic, you folks should go ahead and put one on and sell the m5stick like that. There would be a market for that product and Im sure people would pay a little bit more for the upgraded stick. Sure, a mic can be connected, but that defeats the wearable aspect of the stick. Just a suggestion.
