thanks, I will try with NEMA 17 12v.....
You will need to adjust the drivers as they are not calibrated by default.
How can I calibrate the drivers?
Can I Use this motor?
- Angle of step: 1.8 degrees.
- Voltage: 12 V
- Current: 1.2 A / phase.
- Resistance: 10.0 ± 10% / phase.
- inductance: 20 ± 20% / phase.
- Support moment: 68 g / cm2.
- Number of wires: 4
- Support time: 48 min. N. cm.
- Large braking torque: 2.6 N. cm.
- Insulation class: B

Ebay link?
Calibration is done via the tiny silver round thing on the individual stepper driver.

thanks a lot !!
something like this ?
-
Yes, just like that.
Don't connect any steppers when calibrating it! -

can I use this motor with the step motor module?
can I power the core and the module with 12v ?
-
yes the nema 17 will be fine.
I'm sure that the m5 will receive power from the module but i'm not certain.
you will need external power to the module to power the stepper. -
I will try ....
thanks
-
@ajb2k3 Do you have any good scource for wires for the stepper output?
I have several sets of stepper motor wires but none that fit in the stepper module
-
@kryten the stepper module uses the standard Grove cable system so cutting off the existing wire connections on the stepper motor and replacing them with a grove wire harness works fine for me.
-
@ajb2k3
Thank you very much.I hope to get some wires sorted out soon so I can see if I manage to get the module working on a "printer" (2D drawings)

It looks like it should work but you would need to adjust the drivers. I don’t have one so I can’t say for certain but it is a 4 wire stepper
