M5Paper S3 not binding
-
Hello,
Having issues with a new M5PaperS3. Using M5burner to burn UIFlow2.0 Paper S3 v2.3.0 firmware. I'm finding it does a finicky firmware burn, where it doesn't always burn properly. When it doesn't burn properly, when I exit download mode , the boot will keep cycling. I can tell it keeps cycling as my PC will detect the device constantly reconnecting. So I'll have to erase and re-burn the firmware until I get a good update. Then when I do get a good update, I don't get the device binding screen, so it's stuck in Private mode with no account. I've logged in/out of my account on M5burner and UIFlow2 web IUD, multiple times, erased/burned firmware multiple times, but still get the same result. The device doesn't appear on my uiflow2 account.
The M5paperS3 SSID settings is correct, as it does get wifi and can see it in my list of devices on my router/access point. I've also tried using my MAC to erase and burn, getting the same result. An help would be appreciated.

you can email support@m5stack.com and see if they can check your device in the backend. And, remember to attach the MAC address of your device! -
@VVong_san_ Are you erasing the old firmware first before burning?
-
@kuriko Thank you, I've reached out to them.

@ajb2k3 Yes, I've erased and burned multiple times. From different machines (WIN11 PC and MAC), still not getting the binding window.
I've actually moved on just using Arduino IDE. No issues there, just learning that when I've got spare time.

Thanks Kuriko. M5Stack support was able to help out. Looks like my device was already bound to an account. Once they cleared it, I was able to successfully install UI firmware and bind it, first try.
