What is the simplest driver module I can use to connect a 5V DC fan thats need to work continuously? I wish to program via uiflow 2.

The Goplus2 DC Motor and Servo Driver Module looks good but can someone please explain the purpose of the battary and is it needed? Can it be removed to avoid long term safety issues?
