UHF-Rfid not working with StickCPlus2

hi i just bought a M5Stick UHF-RfID and i downloaded the example code to StickCPlus2, but it is not working.
it will not dispaly anything in the serial monitor.

I have a similar issue. My UHF RFID reader (JRD 4035) wont work on the Atom lite. I have been tinkering all day with no luck. Maybe the example code provided is outdated?
