My brother-in-law is a behavioral psychologist, and during a recent chat, he mentioned how different countries perceive gambling. I asked him specifically about New Zealand because I heard mixed opinions. He pointed me to an article that really changed my mind. It explained how deeply gambling is embedded in society, but also how the government actively manages it to minimize harm. That balance between enjoyment and responsibility is something I haven’t seen done as well in other places. If anyone wants a comprehensive look, I suggest to find out about the popularity of gambling in New Zealand https://lyncconf.com/the-popularity-of-gambling-in-new-zealand/— it's worth your time.
