Cardputer COM Not Working
-
@ajb2k3 Thank you for that information. I had seen somewhere that a CP2102 driver for windows was necessary, that appears to be not required. After numerous tries with a USB A to USB -C cables which had the data and power wired through, I went and bought a fat cable capable of 60W and fast data - as soon as I pressed G0 and inserted the cable windows immediately assigned a COM Port.
I am very grateful that you pointed out that the Stamp-S3 has its own built USB>TTL converter! -
"I had a similar issue with not recognizing the COM port, but after some testing, I found out that on my laptop, the cardputer's COM port only recognizes when I connect it through the laptop's USB type C port."

I was having the same problems with my CardPuter not being recognised when connecting to USB with the Go button depressed but after reading through this thread I finally tried another USB 'C' cable and the Windows 7 system finally tried to install drivers for the unit.
It installed one USB driver but failed to install the 'USB JTAG/serial debug monitor' driver.
Where can I find this driver to download for Windows 7 ?
At the moment when I hit the 'Burn' button on the Burner program I get an error box pop up which says 'Get mac failed' -
Perfect, I had the same problem after installing UIFlow 2.0, it didn't detect the correct COM, using this method of holding the btnGo and then turning on the device the correct COM started working again (remembering that by doing this, the device remains with the screen disconnected, but communication works again). Thank you very much.
