How to Recieve network messages

I have a m5stack core and m5stack atom

I want them to listen &recieve messages from eventghost (which is a automation tool for windows running on python)

What ways are there for the m5 devies to recieve local network messages..

Any advice ... would be appricated. Since I have no idea what libraries are out there for micropython or arduino that would fit ?
