[Solved]Official Grove cables - buckled or unbuckled?
-
Are the Grove cables on the m5stack Aliexpress store actually unbuckled cables instead of buckled?
As you can see from the description and picture, they show a buckled cable. So I ordered buckled Grove cables from a vendor on Amazon Prime so I could get them in 2 days while I wait for my shipment from China for the official m5stack Grove cables (19-39 day delivery). Upon arrival from Amazon, I found the cables do not fit the m5stack core because of the buckle. Can someone post a picture of their official m5stack grove cable?

This is correct as the buckle fits securely to the stick/camera and units.
I have chopped the clip of some but also ordered Seeedstudio grove leads that don't have the buckle. -
As far as I know they all come buckled with the extra piece on top from the factory, we just remove that part then they fit into the grove port fine, a pair of scissors or a knife should do the trick.

Thanks guys. Looks like I will just cut the buckle off when I need to.

I bought mine here:

They work like a charm!

The M5Stack uses the seeedstudio grove specification so is compatible with any Grove leads. I have them and the work great.
Also you don't have to worry about the cost of them if you butcher them for projects. -
Just a caveat guys, beware that some vendors of the grove cables have the yellow and white wires switched so if you find your units aren't functioning correctly remember to check the cables first.
