I’ve been exploring different creative project ideas using M5Stack devices, and I recently got inspired by a word puzzle concept similar to Letter Boxed today. Since M5Stack is such a flexible and modular IoT platform with built-in displays, buttons, and even touch support on some devices, I thought it could be really fun to try building a portable version of this type of game.

For those unfamiliar, M5Stack provides stackable hardware modules and an easy development environment, making it great for rapid prototyping and interactive projects . That’s exactly why it feels like a perfect fit for something lightweight and creative like a word puzzle game.

Here’s what I’m thinking so far:

Use the screen to display the “letter box” layout
Input words using buttons, touch, or even an external keyboard module
Add simple rules like not using consecutive letters from the same side
Maybe include scoring, hints, or even daily challenges

I feel like this could be a fun beginner-to-intermediate project, especially for those wanting to mix UI design with logic/game mechanics.
