M5 burner reports "get configurations failed". I am using macOS Ventura on MacBook (Intel). I have installed CP210x drivers. Using esptool.py command line I can read the ESP32 MAC address, so basic communications working.

I also tried uploading compiled C++ code using esptool.py which failed after erasing, so my Fire is unusable until I can update the firmware.

Does anyone know the solution? I can't see signs of anyone else having this problem.

Thanks

My mistake was assuming the "Configurations" button was essential. If I ignore than and click "Burn" everything is fine.
